Auricular therapy:
This
technique is part of the ancient Chinese, Egyptian and Indian
cultures. It is a gentle and holistic way that helps eliminate the
excess earwax and waste in the ear passage. An empty cone-like
candle, made of pure bees wax and non-bleached muslin, is used. The
pointed tip is placed in the ear while the other tip is lit. The
smoke creates a suction that gently pulls the excess earwax from the
ear towards the candle. The therapist disposes the earwax in a bowl
of water with the help of tweezers.
This is a
safe technique. The use of a non-inflammable blanket and a humid
towel covers the patients head in order to protect against the flame
of the candle and the hot candle wax. Auricular therapy eliminates
the accumulation of waste, dust and earwax from the ear passage. It
relieves pressure in cases of sinusitis, headaches, migraines and
sinus congestion. It also helps unblock the ears and encourages the
equilibrium of liquids, energetic and encephalitic flow. It can
sometimes help the quality of hearing and breathing. It is not
prescribed to children under the ages of 5 or for those suffering
from ear infections and are prescribed antibiotics. A treatment
takes approximately 1 hour.
